Business Liaison
As Business Liaison, and under the direction of the Emergency Department Business Operations Manager and the Emergency Department Flow RN, you will perform customer service, registration, insurance verification, initial financial counseling, communications and various clerical duties for the Emergency Department. The job duties are assigned on a daily basis, whereby all clerical staff must be proficient in all areas of the job description. This position is an integral member of the Patient Care Team and as such, flexibility to cover additional and/or different shifts when notified is expected. The Business Liaison serves as a liaison between patients, their waiting families and Emergency Department personnel and offer comfort and support to patients and families.
Concierge
As Concierge, you will be responsible for enabling the Clinical Team to focus on and deliver direct patient care by answering and managing phones, directing and assisting visitors, assisting staff and organizing paperwork and documents. Representative as the first impression to the unit and owns the front door & front desk of the “unit”, the Concierge provides assistance, guidance and direction to visitors and family of the medical-surgical unit and is also responsible for updating bed status and working with the support staff for efficient and timely room turnaround. The Concierge is a consistent business presence on the floor, ensuring all visitors to the unit are welcomed and assisted, non-clinical needs are addressed and the environment is warm, welcoming, clean and clutter free.
Patient Care Associate
As a valuable member of the clinical team, the Patient Care Associate (PCA) is responsible for supporting the RN in highly diverse facets of directly caring for the assigned patients. As the first point of contact on the unit for the patient and family, the PCA provides a welcoming and supportive environment for the patient and family; greets and orients patient and family to unit; answers all patient call bells and responds in a timely manner; and performs activities of daily living for or with the patient including but not limited to: Toileting assistance – bathroom, commode, bedpan, urinal; Daily hygiene care (Bed bath, Shower, Foot care, Mouth care, Hair washing, Shaving). Candidates will also assist in ambulation and/or range of motion under the direction of the RN or physical therapist; assist patients with turning, positioning mobility utilizing proper body mechanics and transfer/lift equipment; changing patient’s bed linens; reporting all patient changes to the RN; maintain a clean and safe patient environment; and perform additional comprehensive duties as assigned.
